School Overview

The Higher School of Biological Sciences of Oran (ESSBO) aims to become a center of excellence in higher education, scientific research, and technological development in the field of advanced biological sciences, with applications oriented toward the economic sector.

ESSBO was established through the transformation of the Preparatory School in Natural and Life Sciences, in accordance with Executive Decree No. 304-17 dated October 22, 2017.

The training program initially aims to provide second-cycle students with high-quality education in molecular biology, as well as in other specialized fields such as enzymatic engineering, immunotechnology, and forensic biology.

More generally, this program aims to ensure mastery of both theoretical and practical foundations of these advanced biological disciplines through theoretical courses, practical workshops, and internships in research laboratories or companies, in order to facilitate graduates’ integration into various and rapidly evolving sectors.
