Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC)
As part of promoting the entrepreneurial spirit and scientific innovation within universities, the Higher School of Biological Sciences of Oran (ESSBO) has established the Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC). This center is part of a national initiative aimed at strengthening the links between the university and the economic sector. In collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-enterprises, the EDC-ESSBO provides students with a favorable environment to develop and realize their innovative projects.
The EDC offers training programs, guidance, and mentoring, facilitating the transition of innovative ideas into flourishing businesses.
The objectives and missions of the ESSBO Entrepreneurship Development Center are to:
1. Raise Awareness and Advise:
Organize activities to sensitize students with innovative projects and provide them with entrepreneurial advice.
2. Train:
Establish specialized training sessions covering the fundamental principles of entrepreneurship, business creation and management, strategic planning, operational and resource management, Business Model Canvas (BMC), corporate relations with partners, financing methods, and government support mechanisms.
3. Accompany:
Provide personalized support for obtaining financing, with the help of specialized stakeholders, in alignment with the new approach of the National Entrepreneurship Support and Development Agency (NESDA).
4. Support the Entrepreneur:
Collaborate with various partners to support entrepreneurs within value chain development and subcontracting programs.
